20 MOOD-BOOSTING PHOTOS FROM MY KEFALONIA TRIP

Since the coronavirus pandemic has curtailed my 2020 travel plans and put a temporary hold on new content, I thought I would share my 20 favourite photos from my trip to the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia in May 2019.

We all need a pick me up at this moment in time – and I think this may just be the tonic….

All of the photos are my own.

Our villa. Oh to run and jump into that pool now!
Poolside visitor (with an opium addiction?)
Agia Efimia: Famous for Captain Correlli’s Mandolin having been filmed here.
Gorgeous, colourful houses in Asos fishing harbour.
Fantastic views down into Asos on a climb to the venetian fort, standing 1.8 km up in the mountain.
Fiskardo: Yes, it’s as inviting as it looks in the photo!
Fiskardo: Ahh the relaxing boating life!
Open roads for miles….
…..just watch out for the mountain goats!
Sami: The daily life of a Greek fisherman.
If you love cats, you will love Kefalonia!
A typical Greek taverna (complete with moped)
You can’t beat Greek food in the evening sun; moussaka, Greek salad and a monster carafe of local wine to wash it all down!
Melissani Lake (or ‘Nymphs Cave’ as it’s also known).
Drogarati Cave: Brimming with age old stalagmites and stalactites!
The famous, world-renowned Myrtos Beach
Despite how it looks from above, Myrtos Beach isn’t just white sand, it’s part-pebbled too.
Who wouldn’t want to live in this Greek house?
Argostoli is the Capital of Kefalonia and most populated – as can be seen by all of the houses.
If you could drink one thing right now, it would have to be a Mythos, right?

If that’s whet your appetite and you want to see even more of my holiday snaps, read my blog ‘Kefalonia Island’

Don’t forget to share the sunshine vibes with someone who needs cheering up and leave me your comments – I’d love to hear from you! ✏️

More from the 2020 Series coming soon – check out the others here.
